Beginner Posture Exercises for Seniors
Chest Opener: Sit straight in a chair with your feet flat on the ground. Clasp your hands behind your back and lift your arms towards the ceiling, while squeezing your shoulder blades together. Hold for 5-10 seconds, then release. Repeat 5-10 times.
Neck Stretch: Sit straight in a chair with your feet flat on the ground. Gently tilt your head to the right, while placing your right hand on your left temple. Hold for 5-10 seconds, then release. Repeat on the other side. Do 5-10 reps on each side.
Shoulder Shrugs: Sit straight in a chair with your arms at your sides. Shrug your shoulders up towards your ears, then relax them down. Repeat 10-15 times.
